How one active couple made the move to Bramshott Place Village whilst still ‘young enough to enjoy it all’

"We decided we would rather do it now whilst we still have the energy to enjoy ourselves and make good use of all the facilities," says Mrs Fernee.
When Mr and Mrs Fernee, residents at Bramshott Place Village told their daughter they were moving from their London riverside apartment to a retirement village in Liphook, she told them they ‘weren’t old enough’. But according to Helen Fernee, 62, and Michael, 68, a former airline pilot, now’s the perfect time to make the move.
“Yes, we’re young,” says Helen, “but there may come a point where we won’t feel like moving. My husband had been unwell. So we decided we would rather do it now whilst we still have the energy to enjoy ourselves and make good use of all the facilities.”
